Understanding and effectively treating sweaty feet
Do you also suffer from sweaty feet? I have a small consolation for you: You are not alone in this. A whole 30 % of the German population suffer from sweaty feet! But there are ways and means to get rid of the cheese feet and to reduce the sweating.
How is the pungent smell produced?
Sweaty feet are caused by an overproduction of your sweat glands. The increased sweat formation moistens your skin layer. This can lead to a whitish swelling and cracking. Now the bacteria decompose and mix with the sweat on your feet. The combination of the decomposed bacteria and the sweat leads to a cheesy, pungent smell.
Causes for the increased sweat production
Sweaty feet often have biological causes. Sweaty feet can indicate a hormonal disorder, hyperthyroidism or gout. A general increase in perspiration can also be the cause of your sweaty feet.
However, your habits and behaviour can also bring sweaty feet to the surface. Wearing airtight shoes, usually made of plastic, promotes a humid foot climate and can cause your sweaty feet. The situation is similar with stockings made of synthetic fibres. Nylon stockings are mostly used. The synthetic fibres, however, do not absorb any moisture.
Mistakes are also often made when cleaning and drying the feet. It is often assumed that the feet do not need to be washed separately. The shower water running down would clean the feet sufficiently. But this is not so! Your feet and especially the spaces between your toes should also be thoroughly cleaned. It is also necessary to dry your feet extensively after washing. The spaces between the toes should also be dried individually.
Untreated sweaty feet and their rat tail
If the sweaty feet are not treated, further problems can occur in addition to itching and stench. The warm and humid climate quickly becomes a welcome habitat for athlete's foot and nail fungus and warts are also promoted.
Get to the root of the problem!
With an antiperspirant for your feet, you can permanently prevent the formation of sweat. Sudozero is the foot deodorant from Mr.Fuss. With an active ingredient content of 20 %, the antiperspirant effectively prevents the formation of sweat. Swelling and cracks on the skin are avoided. The bacteria do not decompose your foot sweat any more and the bad smells belong to the past!
